I discovered that I had cut the C-621 and C-622 canopy release mechanism rods too short so I ordered some new ones and carefully measured hole center to hole center this time. After installation I found interference between the Wd-619 shaft, the F-697 channel and F-643-1 channel. After some ten or so iterations I finally had the necessary clearance in all locations. I drilled the instrument panel for the snap bushing hole and installed and assembled the Wd-620 canopy release handle. Then I fitted the Wd-618 release arm to the release shaft, marked the angle between the two and match drilled them as a unit. Then I hooked everything up and did a test. Everyting was working fine except for some trimming needed on the lower flange of the F-643-1 channel.
